Authors: Pham Thi That
Keywords: STRUCTURE OF CONTEMPORARY FRENCH SHORT STORY
Issue Date: 2009
Publisher: ULIS
Abstract: The structure of literary works is influenced by the interrelations between the chapters and paragraphs and the content development of the work. This is a factor that participates in the representation of the content and idea of the work and plays an important role in turning a work into an artistic entirety. As it comes under various factors, particularly the aesthetic perspective of the authors, the structure of the literary works comes in different forms. Through the analysis of works published on 25 issues of the New Short Story Review (1985-1992), this paper introduces different forms of structure commonly found in contemporary French short stories.
